Hemplucid, once a pioneering figure in the CBD industry, found itself falling behind in terms of its brand and visual identity. Determined to reclaim its position as a leader, the company sought to not only innovate its product offerings but also cultivate a distinct brand identity. As the creative lead, I took charge of spearheading the strategic development of a comprehensive brand direction that covered both new and existing product lines. This encompassed everything from conceptualizing packaging designs to devising branding strategies and offering guidance on wholesale design initiatives.
The Problem & Solution
Hemplucid faced the challenge of standing out in a competitive market flooded with CBD products. To differentiate itself and capture the attention of discerning consumers. I embarked on a journey to craft a visual language that would resonate with Hemplucid's target audience and elevate its product offerings.
By harnessing the unique properties of mushrooms, particularly in the creation of the mushroom gummies product line, we were able to craft brand elements that resonated with consumers seeking holistic solutions. Leveraging the natural patterns found in mushroom veins, we designed visuals that conveyed the relief of stress, hyper-focusing for enhanced concentration, and relaxation for improved sleep. These subtle yet impactful design choices not only distinguished Hemplucid from its competitors but also communicated its commitment to providing effective solutions tailored to individual needs. The mushroom gummies quickly became their top-selling product with the highest product adoption out of any of their products. This translated into a high volume of new subscriptions.
