This feature sought out to solve a few problems, the first one is solving the problem for up and coming artists to get their name out there connecting people to concerts and local events. Secondly, this feature would create another avenue of revenue with ticket sales and even better user retention. This local feature was also created to benefit the user in presenting them with a new artist discovery avenue within Spotify.
