From one of my favorite movies the scene “No Doubt” has always stood out to me because of the impact fullness it has in the movie. I wanted this kinetic type animation to be simple, bold, and full of high contrast. I achieved this by using a single font, so the viewer wouldn’t be distracted by the abrupt change in type, by taking the focus away from the type forms I displayed the narrative in the story with simple shapes, space, and animation. I animated this in individual scenes, like in a movie I gave a phrase its own scene and animated in with no out animations unless the mood struck it as necessary. This animation has subtle depth using 3-dimensional animations, which gives this video a nice contrast between 2D and 3D.
